Oddly, the levels don’t build on each other.

Enough for one level, maybe, but not a full game. In the later levels, there are extra attacks that require dodging and spikes become a thing. Every once in a while, minions will spawn and Bendy has to avoid them too before stomping on them or getting in front and throwing a weapon at them.

If he’s holding a weapon, the player can double-tap to the throw the weapon backwards at the enemy. The player swipes right, left, or up to make Bendy sidestep or jump out of the way of attacks and to make him pick up cans and weapons. The game starts with Bendy facing the player and running away from the main enemy along a narrow route littered with bacon soup cans (in-game currency) and three types of weapons. The cosmetics are slightly different in each level (dock, street, junkyard, library) and the enemies are different (sea-chest, taxi, can, inkwell) but the player has such a limited number of supported actions (jump, doublejump, left, right, pound) that they might as well be the same level. There are only four levels, each one composed of five ‘acts’ plus a ‘nightmare mode’, and they are played exactly the same way.
